Hal T. Burgess served as president of the IBM Ring 1 in St. Louis in 1947. He also served as Territorial Representatives of the IBM for Missouri in the 1950s. He was known to perform magic wearing in his trademark fez.
A picture of Burgess performing was included in his article to the Linking Ring, April 1952, page 58.
