Stanley Kramien Sr. (1925-2015) toured North America as "The Great Kramien" for more the 35 years with his full magic shows "Magic Capades", "Magicazam" and "Shazam".

Biography

He toured North America with some of the largest illusion shows of the era, performing in as many as 200 cities a year. He also appeared in vaudeville, U.S.O., night clubs, radio, television, circus, and sideshows.

Kramien started as an assistant to Warren Gram touring the Western states.

He was once described by Francis Marshall as a cross between P. T. Barnum, Flo Ziegfield and John Wayne.

He has been holding an annual convention, the Northwest Magic Jamboree, since 1987. The final one is expected to be held in 2012.

• Special Fellowship and Lifetime Achievement Fellowship from the Academy of Magical Arts (2000)
• Promoted by the Magic Circle to MIMC with Gold Star (2002)
