Famous magic illustrator, working mostly for Kaufman and Company and, more recently, Hermetic Press.
Oakes has also illustrated Magicana in Genii since 1999 when it was purchased from the Larsen family by The Genii Corporation.
Oakes' work is noted for its remarkable detail and wonderful sense of line. The hands have an almost three-dimensional modelled quality.
