Los Angeles Society of Magicians (LASM) was an independent magic organization form on October 7, 1917 by local magicians including Harry G. Cooke, Frank Fewins and Everett Miller.
Harry Kellar attended the inaugural meeting and his many friends elected him Honorary President. [1]
When prominent magicians like Houdini or Howard Thurston came to the city, the Society would often host a meeting and banquet in their honor.
Reports could be seen in the Sphinx and later in Genii up until they disbanded around 1954.
