Prynce Wheeler (1919-1980) specialized in escapes and for many years conducted a business supplying handcuffs, special keys, and other paraphernalia for use by escape artists.

Biography

Wheeler was a founding member of I.B.M. Ring 73 in Great Falls in 1948, before moving to Mississpii in 1951.[1] He held I.B.M. No. 9915 and was a member of the Order of Merlin.

He was an expert locksmith and gunsmith. He collected of escape devices and owned a number of European dungeon irons dating back to the 1500s.

At one time, he traveled with the Ed Nichols Dixie Rebels as a magician and escape artist.[2]

At thetime of his death, he was employed by the West Side Bar in Great Falls.[3]
