Eagle Magic was founded in 1899 by Collins Pentz and is the oldest continuously run magic store in the U. S..[1]
History
Collins Pentz ran the store until he died in 1957. The store was willed to his salesperson, Doris Davids, who had worked there since the 1930’s. Doris retired and sold the store to Todd Lidholm in 1971.[2] Todd owned the store for 5 years before selling it.
Larry Kahlow began working at the store in 1970 and purchased it from Lidholm in 1976. He has owned it ever since and operates it with the support of his wife, Jennifer.
